About
Who is Orion van Helden?
I see myself primarily as a writer. I studied physics and philosophy with the intention
to write better-informed science-fiction, and I am glad I did. I got passionated about quantum mechanics
along the way and started a PhD on the subject, but now I am going back to basics, back to fiction and
art, to which that scientific background was destined from the start. Maybe I will finish this PhD one
day, who knows?
My art in general is as much intended to express myself as to conveying powerful messages to entertain
hope and the capacity to wonder in my public. As an auDHD and trans person, I also want to try and put out
there a different perspective on the world and human relationships.
My next step? Graphic novels!
